The Vermentino grapes for this organic white wine are harvested in the region of the southern Maremma on the Tyrrhenian coast of Italy. They are cooled immediately after harvest and undergo a cold maceration and a soft pressing in order to preserve all the fruit aromas in the wine. After an ageing of 3 months in stainless steel tanks, the wine is bottled.

It is an aromatic, dry wine with a floral bouquet and mineral tones. On the palate we taste a pleasant and clean wine with flavours reminiscent of citrus and passion fruit. It is the ideal companion for salads with scampi, chicken or goat cheese but also goes well with raw and grilled fish, or simply as an aperitif or on a summer terrace.

Fun fact: Roxanne is a wine that comes from the estate of Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. Tenuta Il Palagio is located in Tuscany on the Chianti slopes between Florence and Arezzo. Roxanne is also the title of a song by The Police that was written by Sting himself and released on the LP ‘Outlandos d’Amour’ in 1978.
