This Spanish DOP cheese from the La Mancha region is made from pasteurised milk from the Manchega breed of sheep. The sheep’s milk provides a spicy and pronounced taste and a high protein content. The rind is impregnated with olive oil and has the typical weaving pattern, which refers to the basket shape in which these cheeses used to be pressed. It is a hard sheep’s cheese that has matured for twelve months.
A relaxing evening with a nice piece of cheese makes us happy. This delicious Manchego cheese is getting more and more name recognition, and rightly so! It tastes delicious with a drop of Spanish extra virgin olive oil and possibly even some coarse sea salt. This way the flavours come out even better. Ideal cheese for a tapas or cheese board with some tasty Spanish dipsticks.
