The Ardennes pâté is a pâté as they used to make it from freshly slaughtered pigs on the farms.
The basis is pork liver, pork meat and pork bacon.
Characteristic of this pâté is that it is firm but still creamy enough to be eaten on a sandwich, well-seasoned and full of flavour thanks to the extra addition of stock and freshly fried onions.
The combination with 8% Ardennes ham gives us a product that could perhaps summarise the typical characteristics and authenticity of the whole region: unique, powerful, captivating!
